Our College is preparing for a new leap that connects students, our region, and the world, while responding to rapid glocal (global–local) changes and community-wide challenges. Today’s shifts—population decline, youth out-migration, and digital transformation—present serious issues for regional universities, yet they also open new opportunities. In this context, we are committed to realizing our vision of becoming “a useful and influential college of business for the region and the world.”

We aim to be more than a place that transmits knowledge; we aspire to be a learning community where students experience growth and success, and a scholarly community that fulfills its social responsibility. To this end, we will advance innovative education and research grounded in trust-based collaboration and sound governance, and we will expand practice-oriented activities firmly rooted in our region and industry settings. We will also specialize our education and research around future-critical agendas—AI and digital transformation, ESG, and the energy transition—so that students gain creative, hands-on experience and a global perspective.

In particular, we will strengthen student-centered education to enhance employability and entrepreneurship; promote societally engaged research that helps solve real-world problems; and deepen industry–academia–government collaboration in close partnership with local companies and municipalities. At the same time, we will broaden international programs, including student exchanges and dual-degree opportunities, so our students can thrive on the global stage. These efforts will position the College as a hub of education and research that bridges our region and the world.

The strength of our College comes from solidarity and collaboration among students, faculty, staff, alumni, and community partners. Challenges that are difficult to shoulder alone can become opportunities when we work together with shared purpose and wisdom. Building on this collective strength, we will continue to drive innovation and fully support each student in discovering their potential and growing together with society.
